Beneficial ownership verification API in the EU
Search demand often uses “beneficial ownership verification API” even when buyers need Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) determination under AMLR. We keep the query phrase for discoverability while stating clearly: Transparify’s value is determination — interpreted grounds — not a synonym for identity verification.
Transparify does not ship raw company-register extracts (as OpenCorporates- or Bundesanzeiger-style data APIs do). It returns a legally interpreted Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) determination after parallel assessment of ownership interest and control via other means under AMLR Articles 51–54 — the buying argument for Know Your Customer (KYC) / Know Your Business (KYB) platforms that will not rebuild UBO logic themselves, often stronger than for a single law-firm user.

Verification language vs determination substance
“Verification” in KYC stacks often means matching a person to a document. In beneficial-ownership procurement it is frequently misused for “tell us who the UBO is”. Insist on AMLR grounds, parallel ownership/control tests, and documentation exports.
EU context through 2027
AMLR’s 10 July 2027 applicability raises the bar for how platforms evidence UBO conclusions. National registers remain inputs; determination quality remains the differentiator for Know Your Business (KYB) onboarding in the EU.
